At the dedication ceremony for Bayside Intermediate and Clear Falls High, Colonel Greg Johnson offered to take school related paraphernalia on the STS-134 shuttle mission.
“We can fly a special item for each of the three schools on the mission in February,” said Johnson.
To represent Clear Falls, Principal Karen Engle ordered a banner with the school name, crest, and shuttle mission embroidered on it. This banner will be flown, then displayed in the school for all to see. It is also the first object to hold the school crest, which was developed by students and faculty members over the summer, and only finalized recently.
The banner will fly the shuttle launch in February, before being returned back to Clear Falls.
